This specimen was lot 22542 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brandenburg. 1/4 Taler, (16)24. Konigsberg Mint. Georg Wilhelm (1619-40). PCGS MS-63 Secure Holder. Date (two final numbers only) split by reverse shield. Impressive quality for this elusive denomination with sharp detail in the designs and luminous mint luster remaining in the minimally toned fields. Struck slightly off-center on the reverse." This type was struck in numerous varieties (KM 86.1 thru 86.15) 1621-26 and 1633. This subtype (KM 86.9) is listed for 1624 along with KM 86.7, 86.8, 86.10, 86.11.
