Sincona sale 43, lot 2051
This specimen was lot 2051 in Sincona sale 43 (Zurich, October 2017), where it sold for 225 CHF (about US$269 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Brandenburg-Ansbach, Markgrafschaft, Alexander, 1757-1791 1/2 Konventionstaler 1765. Schwabach. Sehr schön. (margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach, Alexander, 1757-91, half convention thaler of 1765, Schwabach mint. Very fine.)"
Half thalers from this state are scanty and expensive but two different types were issued in 1765, this one and KM 267.

Recorded mintage: unknown but rather scarce.

Specification: 14.03 g, .833 fine silver, this specimen 13.81 g.
