This silver fifty centavos (or half boliviano), roughly equal to a half dollar, was a one-year type struck in Potosi. It is the first year of an issue of fifty centavos under the reformed decimal system. A scarce variety exists with "500 MMs" instead of "500 Ms" in the reverse legend.

Specification: 12.5 g, 0.900 fine silver, 0.3617 troy oz ASW.
