This specimen was lot 42344 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA. Boliviano, 1871-PTS ER. Potosi Mint. PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield. 9 stars at bottom. Minimally toned with soft sparkling luster in the fields." The catalog notes an eleven star variety (KM 155.3) struck 1870-71 and a nine star variety (KM 155.4) struck 1870-72, including assayers ER, FP and EF.

Recorded mintage: unknown but fairly common.

Specification: 25 g, .900 fine silver.
