Aureo sale 238, lot 460
This specimen was lot 460 in Aureo & Calicó sale 238 (Barcelona, November 2011), where it sold for 170 euro (about US$270 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1802. Potosí. PP. 8 reales. Atractiva. Parte de brillo original. MBC+. (eight reales of 1802, Potosí mint. Attractive, lustrous, scarce thus, choice very fine.)"
The assayer PP appears for 1794-1802.

Recorded mintage: 2,083,000.

Specification: 27.07 grams, .896 fine silver, .780 troy oz ASW.
