Aureo sale 238, lot 453
This specimen was lot 453 in Aureo & Calicó sale 238 (Barcelona, November 2011), where it sold for 160 euro (about US$254 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1795. Potosí. PR. 8 reales. Rayitas. Escasa. MBC+ (eight reales of 1795, Potosí mint. Obverse digs, Very fine plus.)"
The assayer PR (scarce) appears for 1776-95 and assayer PP (common) for 1794-1802.

Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.

Specification: 27.07 grams, .896 fine silver, .780 troy oz ASW.
