Aureo sale 238, lot 454
This specimen was lot 454 in Aureo & Calicó sale 238 (Barcelona, November 2011), where it sold for 140 euro (about US$222 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1795. Potosí. PP. 8 reales. Pátina. Buen ejemplar. MBC+. (eight reales of 1795, Potosí mint. Toned, nice example, Very fine plus.)"
The assayer PR (scarce) appears for 1776-95 and assayer PP (common) for 1794-1802.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 27.07 grams, .896 fine silver, .780 troy oz ASW.
