UBS sale 85, lot 1281
This specimen was lot 1281 in UBS sale 85 (Zurich, September 2010), where it sold for 475 CHF (about US$542 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ÖSTERREICH Maria Theresia, 1740-1780 15 Kreuzer 1743, Prag. Drapiertes Brustbild mit Diadem nach rechts. Rv. Wappen auf gekrönter Wappenkartusche, darunter die Wertzahl. Winz. Schrötlingsf. Vorzüglich." (Austria, Maria Theresia (1740-80), 15 kreuzer of 1743, Prague mint. Obverse: draped bust with tiara facing right; reverse: arms, date below. Extremely Fine.)
This type was struck at the Prague mint 1743-45 and is listed in the SCWC under Bohemia but it is very similar to other 15 kreuzers struck at Vienna, Graz, Breslau and Hall and listed under Austria. The type seems to be common. Its face value was one quarter of a gulden.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 6.4 g, .563 fine silver, this specimen 6,12 g.

Catalog reference: MzA p. 244, Diet. 1061, KM 737 (formerly KM 1530).
