This specimen was lot 4096 in Sincona sale 34 (Zurich, October 2016), where it sold for 2,000 CHF (about US$2,374 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Rudolf II. 1576-1612 Taler 1603. Kuttenberg Münzmeister Hans Spiess. Äusserst selten. Gutes sehr schön, Dunkle Kabinettpatina. Leicht poröser Schrötling und teilweise ein wenig schwach ausgeprägt. (Holy Roman Empire, Rudolf II, 1576-1612, thaler of 1603, Kuttenberg mint, mintmaster Hans Spiess. Extremely rare, Good very fine, light corrosion.)"
