Jean Elsen sale 141, lot 806
This specimen was lot 806 in Jean Elsen sale 141 (Brussels, June 2019), where it sold for €190 (about US$252 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold Ier (1831-1865), Cu 5 centimes, 1859. Avec croix sur la couronne. Superbe à Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold I, 1831-65, copper five centimes of 1859, with cross on the crown. Extremely Fine - Uncirculated.)"
This date comes with and without a cross on the crown on the reverse. Another variety, KM 5.3, with large S in CENTS, earns a premium.

Recorded mintage: 2,591,000.
