This specimen was lot 40031 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "BELGIUM. 1/4 Franc, 1850. NGC PROOF-64. Intense reflectivity exists in the fields with perfect definition in the centers and edges that are sharply squared off. A rare date in any condition with a catalog value of $3,000 in MS-60 in the Standard Catalog of World Coins, but EXTREMELY RARE and virtually unknown in this presentation quality, with this being the only example certified by NGC or PCGS. An immense opportunity for the specialist thus." This type was struck 1849-50 at the Brussels mint but is rare.
