Aureo sale 232, lot 120
The specimen shown was lot 120 in Aureo y Calico sale 232 (Barcelona, Spain, March 2011), where it sold for 100 euros (about $165 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
1611. Barcelona. 1/2 croat. Bella. EBC. (Barcelona half croat (or half real) of 1611, nice extremely fine.)
The half real was called a half croat in Catalonia but was the same coin. This type is recorded for 1611-19 and is listed fairly cheaply in the SCWC, especially compared to the issue of 1615.

Reported Mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: KM 11, Cal. 535, Cayón no. 4428.
