The specimen shown is an example of a type struck in Austria, starting in 2007. Austria began minting euros in 2002. The admission of additional members caused the reverse to be redesigned in 2007 to show the enlarged zone.

Recorded mintage: 65,500,000 plus 50,000 BU's for sets plus 15,000 proofs.

Specification: 7.5 g., Bi-Metallic Copper-Nickel center in Brass ring, 23.25 mm diameter. Obv: Bust of Mozart right within inner circle, stars in outer circle by Josef Kaiser; Rev: Value at left, expanded relief map of European Union at right by Luc Luycx; Edge: Reeded and plain sections.
