Sincona sale 39, lot 4257
This specimen was lot 4257 in Sincona sale 39 (Zurich, May 2017), where it sold for 140 CHF (about US$168 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"AUSTRIA, Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916 Doppelgulden 1891. Wien. Gutes vorzüglich. (empire of Austria, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, double gulden of 1891, Vienna mint. Good extremely fine.)"
The double florin superseded the old thaler and was struck 1859-92 with various busts of Franz Josef.

Recorded mintage: 117,000.
