Sincona sale 4, lot 5303
This specimen was lot 5303 in Sincona sale 4 (Zurich, October 2011), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$466 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ÖSTERREICH Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916 Dukat 1867, Wien. Vorzüglich-FDC (Austria, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, ducat of 1867, Vienna mint. Extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1867-72 only but is common. Gold ducats were struck throughout Franz Josef's long reign and come in many types. This date is known from Vienna, Kremnitz and Karlsburg.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 3.49 g, .986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW, this specimen 3,50 g.
