This specimen was lot 1028 in Sincona sale 54 (Zurich, May 2019), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$595 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916. Dukat 1852 A, Wien. Gutes vorzüglich. (empire of Austria, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, ducat of 1852, Vienna mint. Good extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1852-59 at Vienna (A), Kremnitz (B), Karlsburg (E), Milan (M) and Venice (V). This is a common date.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.

Specification: 3.49 g, .986 fine gold, .109 troy oz AGW, this specimen 3.47 g.
