Sincona sale 38, lot 1829
This specimen was lot 1829 in Sincona sale 38 (Zurich, May 2017), where it sold for 750 CHF (about US$900 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835 Dukat 1829 E. Karlsburg. Vorzüglich-FDC. (empire of Austria, Francis I, 1792-1835, ducat of 1829, Karlsburg mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"
This type was issued 1825-31 from Vienna (A), Kremnitz (B), Karlsburg (E) and Gunzburg (G). The SCWC lists this under Austria but Friedberg lists this under Hungary.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 3.49 g, .986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW, this specimen 3.47 g.
