This specimen was lot 5293 in Sincona sale 4 (Zurich, October 2011), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"ÖSTERREICH Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835 Kronentaler 1795, Günzburg. Belorbeertes Brustbild nach rechts. Kreuz aus Knotenstäben, in den Winkeln Kronen und das Kleinod des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Austria, Francis II, 1792-1835, crown thaler of 1795, Gunzburg mint. Obverse: laureate bust to right; reverse: Burgundy cross, crowns in corners and order of the Golden Fleece. Very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type is listed for 1792-97 in the SCWC under the Austrian Netherlands, which we regard as an error, as the type was struck throughout the Austrian empire. Gunzburg was in Carinthia.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 29.44 g, .873 fine silver, .826 troy oz ASW; this specimen is 29,40 g.
