This specimen was lot 32481 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "Karl (Charles) VI Taler 1725 AU55 NGC, Hall mint. With praiseworthy old time envelope toning and a bold strike. The hairs in the ornate wig are almost all clearly defined. From the Jamestown Collection." The SCWC lists this type for 1724-34 and is among the more common thalers of emperor Charles VI. Similar coins were issued from Graz, Vienna and Breslau.

Recorded mintage: 216,000 (including Dav-1053).
