This specimen was lot 40416 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $1,782. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. 2 Taler, ND (1680-86). Hall Mint. NGC MS-61. Leopold I (1657-1705). Attractive even gray tone." The type was struck 1680-86 and, while it is expensive, is more available than most double thalers.
