This specimen was part of lot 32391 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), which sold for $2,280. The catalog description[1] noted, "Elizabeth II 5-Piece Uncertified platinum 'Discover Australia - Flora' 50 Dollars (1/2 oz.) Proof Set 2007, 1) 'Tasmanian Bluegum' 50 Dollars, KM 995; 2) 'Golden Wattle' 50 Dollars, KM 999; 3) 'Sturt's Desert Pea' 50 Dollars, KM 993; 4) 'Anemone Buttercup' 50 Dollars, KM 991; 5) 'Waratah' 50 Dollars, KM 997. Comes with wooden case of issue and unnumbered COA. Total APW 2.5 oz." Since 1989, Australia has entered the bullion and collectibles market in a big way, having produced commemoratives and NCLT's numbering in the hundreds of types. This series honoring Australian flowers ran in very limited numbers 2006-08. Altho produced at the Perth mint, none bear a 'P' mintmark.
