The second specimen was lot 3488 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $212. The catalog description noted, "Australia. Threepence, 1958. Elizabeth II. NGC graded Proof 66." The SCWC lists this type for 1955-64. This date, from the Melbourne mint, is fairly common, tho proofs are scarce.
Recorded mintage: 11,248,000 plus 1,506 proofs.
Specification: 1.41 g, .500 fine silver, 16 mm diameter.
