Australia 1911 penny
This specimen was lot 50302 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description noted, "AUSTRALIA. Penny, 1911. NGC MS-62 BN." The silver coinage for Australia commenced in 1910 but bronze pennies and halfpennies were not struck until 1911. As such, none were struck with the effigy of Edward VII. This date is common but expensive in nice condition.
