This specimen was lot 168 in Sincona sale 54 (Zurich, May 2019), where it sold for 1,700 CHF (about US$2,023 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Augsburg, Stadt, Dukat 1699. Münzmeister Johann Christoph Hohleisen. Stempel von Philipp Heinrich Müller. Selten. Fast vorzüglich. Kleine Druckstellen am Rand. (Germany, city of Augsburg, ducat of 1699, mintmaster Johann Christoph Hohleisen, dies by Philipp Heinrich Müller. Rare, About extremely fine, Small pressure marks on edge.)"
The city of Augsburg only issued ducats on special occasions and consequently they are quite scarce. This type is also listed for 1695 and 1697.

Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
