Sedwick sale 11, lot 925
The specimen shown was lot 925 in Sedwick sale 11 (Winter Park, FL, April 2011), where it sold for $431.25. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Argentina (La Rioja), 1 real, 1824DS, encapsulated ANACS EF 40, ex-Dana Roberts collection, rare. Nice strike (especially the sunface), with hint of luster in fields."
This one real, tho rare as stated, is not from La Rioja but from Rio de la Plata, the region around Buenos Aires. The contemporary two soles is much more available.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, .896 fine silver, .097 troy oz ASW.
