Kunker sale 263, lot 562
This specimen was lot 562 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,098 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ANHALT-KÖTHEN-PLÖTZKAU, FÜRSTENTUM August Ludwig, 1728-1755. 1/3 Taler 1750, Köthen. Sehr attraktives Exemplar mit hübscher Patina, vorzüglich +. (Germany, principality of Anhalt-Cothen-Plotzkau, August Louis, 1728-55, third thaler of 1750, Cothen mint. Very attractive example with handsome toning, choice extremely fine.)"
Thalers from eighteenth century Anhalt are very rare so collectors make do with the minors.
