This specimen was lot 11423 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $470. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Revolution Aguas Calientes. 1 Centavo, 1915. Small date. With Mr. Wood's hand-lettered cardboard holder. EXTREMELY FINE. Ex: Howland Wood Collection." This coin was issued by the Villistas and was accompanied by two, five and twenty centavos. Numerous varieties exist; the SCWC mentions large and small date and reeded and plain edge.

Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.

Specification: 3.55 g, copper, 17 mm diameter.
