This specimen was lot 1590 in Steve Album sale 16 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: Victoria, 1837-1901, AR 5 cents, 1900, NGC graded AU58." The type was struck in 1871-1900 and this date is common.

Recorded mintage: 2,960,000 plus 1,000,000 from Heaton (mintmark "H").

Specification: 1.36 g, .800 fine silver, .035 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
