from the Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale, lot 24906

This specimen was lot 24906 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. Real, 1726-F. Segovia Mint. Philip V (1700-46). PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder. Sharply struck, nicely toned and quite attractive." This type was issued in Segovia 1717, 1721 and 1727-29 for Philip V of Spain. The SCWC lists the type as common. The Segovia mint ceased to strike reales after 1729.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.917 fine silver, 0.099 troy oz ASW.
