This specimen was lot 196 in Aureo y Calico sale 261 (Barcelona, July 2014), where it sold for €80 (about US$128 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FELIPE II (1556-1598) 1590. Sevilla. (n). 1/2 real. (). Fecha completa. MBC-. Ex HSA 18095. (Philip II (1556-98) of Spain, half real of 1590, Seville mint, complete date, almost very fine. Ex Hispanic Society of America.)"
Cayón lists this type for 1588-98 from Seville (shown here), Valladolid, Madrid and Toledo.
