Kunker sale 264, lot 3952
This specimen was lot 3952 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €355 (about US$459 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN Friedrich August III. 1904-1918. 10 Mark 1906. Kl. Kratzer, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (kingdom of Saxony, Frederick August III, 1904-18, ten mark of 1906. Scratches, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type was minted 1905-12 in respectable numbers and is priced about fifty percent higher than a common ten mark from Baden or Prussia.

Recorded mintage: 75,093 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 3.98 g, .900 fine gold.
