Stephen Album sale 32, lot 1218

This specimen was lot 1218 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $141. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAXONY: Frederick Augustus I, 1694-1733, AR 1/12 thaler, 1704, mintmaster EPH, PCGS graded MS62, ex Don Erickson Collection." This type was struck 1701-09 and is fairly common. We also note a 1/48 thaler (KM 703), a 1/24 thaler (KM 682), a 1/6 thaler (KM 722) and a 1/3 thaler (KM 723).

Recorded mintage: unknown.
