Sincona sale 6, lot 599
This specimen was lot 599 in Sincona sale 6 (Zurich, May 2012), where it sold for 130 CHF (about US$160 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Brandenburg-Preussen, 1701 Königreich. Friedrich Wilhelm II. 1786-1797. Taler 1793. Uniformiertes Brustbild nach rechts. Rv. Gekröntes Wappen von zwei wilden Männern gehalten. Gutes sehr schön. (Brandenburg-Prussia, Frederick William II (1786-97), thaler of 1793. Obverse: uniformed bust to right; reverse: crowned arms supported by two wild men of the forest. Good very fine.)"
This type was struck 1791-97 at Berlin (shown here), Breslau and Konigsberg.
