This specimen was lot 229 in Sincona sale 46 (Zurich, May 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Pfalz-Kurlinie, Karl Theodor, 1742-1799. Dukat 1750, Düsseldorf oder Mannheim. Selten. Vorzüglich. (Germany, electorate of Pfalz, Charles Theodore, 1742-99, ducat of 1799, Dusseldorf or Mannheim mint. Rare, Extremely fine.)"
Charles Theodore was elector of the Palatinate, duke of Julich-Berg and later elector of Bavaria. The SCWC lists five different ducats for this locale for 1750, all rare.
