Peru 2003 2 soles
This bimetallic two soles has been issued 1994-2009 in several varieties. A stylized hummingbird, adapted from the Nazca lines, is featured on the reverse. In 1991, the currency was reformed, one nuevo sol = one million intis. Surprisingly enough, the nuevo sol has remained stable against the dollar (US$1 = S/. 2.77, October 2013).
