Just as it is unsporting to take information from another's work without giving credit, it is also unsporting to use another's images without credit and permission (also a potential violation of copyright).
- Heritage Auction Galleries, of Dallas, TX, has granted this website permission to use images from their auction archive on condition that the images be labeled "Photo courtesy of Heritage Auction Galleries, HA.com" (personal communication from Warren Tucker and Paul Minshull, 7 June 2009). Text taken from their lot descriptions should also be credited and properly cited in the Sources section of the article.
- Ponterio & Associates, a division of Bowers and Morena Auctions of Irvine, CA, has granted this website "...permission to use images from our auctions permitted we [Ponterio] receive proper credit for their origin" (personal communication from Kent Ponterio, August 12, 2009). Text taken from their lot descriptions should also be credited and properly cited in the Sources section of the article.
