This specimen is the first coin issued by Paraguay as part of the F.A.O. series. Few South American countries issued F.A.O. coins but Paraguay issued a number of one, five and ten guaranies for F.A.O. in the 1978-88 period. This type was struck 1978-86. All the dates are listed as common.

Recorded mintage: 10,000,000.

Specification: 3.8 g, stainless steel, 20 mm diameter.
