Papal States KM-270 rev Tom F.jpg

This type was issued 1778 only for Pius VI (1774-99) from the Bologna mint. At Bologna, 80 bolognini = one scudo instead of one hundred baiocchi as in Rome. Therefore four bolognini = five baiocchi = one grosso. This type is not listed as expensive.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 2.1 g, billon.

Catalog reference: KM 270.
