Sincona sale 46, lot 639, note simple arms
The first specimen was issued 1775-76 for Pius VI (1774-99). The second specimen was lot 639 in Sincona sale 46 (Zurich, May 2018), where it sold for 425 CHF (about US$510 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIEN, Vatikan - Kirchenstaat, Pius VI. 1775-1799. Zecchino 1776 / A II, Rom. Sehr schön. Kleine Broschierspuren. (Papal States, Pius VI, 1775-99, zecchino of year 2, 1776, Rome mint. Very fine, Minor traces of jewelry.)"
The SCWC separates KM-1029 from KM-1046 (struck 1776 and 1783-84) by the shape of the shield on the obverse but Friedberg lumps them together. It is the last papal zecchino.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.45 g, .998 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW; the second specimen 3.41 g.

Catalog reference: Fr-243; KM 1029, the first specimen Ber-2954, the second specimen Berman 2955.
