Sincona sale 23, lot 3088
This specimen was lot 3088 in Sincona sale 23 (Zurich, May 2015), where it sold for 425 CHF (about US$534 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Olmütz, Bistum, Wolfgang von Schrattenbach, 1711-1738 Taler 1714/13. Kremsier. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich. (bishopric of Olmutz, Wolfgang of Schrattenbach (1711-38), thaler of 1714, Kremsier mint, extremely fine or better.)"
This two-year type is among the commoner issues from this ecclesiastical state in Moravia, then part of Austria, now the Czech Republic. For 1714, only the overdate is recorded. Later thalers from the 1720's are listed quite inexpensively.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver; this specimen 28.33 g.

Catalog reference: Suchomel/Videman 741. Lichnowsky-Mayer -, Dav-1215, KM 400 (formerly KM 128).
