UBS sale 85, lot 1327
This specimen was lot 1327 in UBS sale 85 (Zurich, September 2010), where it sold for 950 CHF (about US$1,084 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ÖSTERREICH Olmütz, Bistum Karl III. von Lothringen, 1695-1710 Taler 1701, Kremsier. Brustbild in Amtstracht nach rechts. Rv. Gekröntes Wappen auf Ordensstern, Jahreszahl in Krone. Vorzüglich-gutes vorzüglich." (Bishopric of Olmütz, Karl III of Lorraine, 1695-1710, thaler of 1701. Obverse: bust facing right; reverse: crowned arms on star of the Order of Malta, date in crown. Extremely Fine to Good Extremely Fine.)
This one-year type is among the scarcer issues from this ecclesiastical state in Moravia, then part of Austria, now the Czech Republic. Later thalers from the 1720's are listed quite inexpensively.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen 28,52 g.

Catalog reference: Lichn.-Mayer 321, Suchomel/Videman 571, Dav-1205, KM 106.
