This two réis, minted in Lisbon for the Portuguese colony of [[Mozambique]], was issued 1853 only. This type is rather scarce. Portuguese issues for her colonies was rather scanty in the nineteenth century. In 1853, [[Mozambique 1853 real|one]], two, five, ten and twenty réis were issued for Mozambique; as the five, ten and twenty réis matched the regular homeland series they are listed under [[Portugal]].
