This specimen was lot 6224 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $___. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "MEXICO. Chihuahua. 8 Reales, 1891-MM. Lightly toned, sharply struck. CHOICE BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED."  The Chihuahua mint struck eight reales 1831-95. Many of the early dates are rare but this one is common in all grades.

The first specimen was lot 6224 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $207. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Chihuahua. 8 Reales, 1891-MM. Lightly toned, sharply struck. CHOICE BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED." The Chihuahua mint struck eight reales 1831-95. Many of the early dates are rare but this one is common in all grades.

Recorded mintage: 2,268,000.

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
