This specimen was lot 1238 in Sedwick sale 25 (Winter Park, FL, May 2018), where it sold for $119. The catalog description[1] noted, "Chihuahua, [[Mexico]], cap-and-rays 8 reales, 1888MM, NGC MS 63. Choice rainbow toning all over with underlying luster, nice strike. Note: The NGC label calls this 1888GA JS in error. NGC #3476959-014." The regular date, shown here, is common; the 1888/7 overdate is priced about double. Assayer MM served for 1882-95 and was the assayer when the Chihuahua mint closed in 1895.
