from the Stack's Bowers 2018 Collector's Choice sale, lot 71248

This specimen was lot 71248 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1883-GoBR. NGC MS-62. Bold strike with strong brilliant luster." The SCWC lists the assayers SB and BR as well as overassayer BR/SB and BR/SB; none seem to be rare tho assayer SB is scarce.

Recorded mintage: 2,100,000 (all assayers).

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
