This specimen was lot 4752 in a Goldberg sale. This issue from Oaxaca is the commonest date of a very scarce mint, which struck twenty pesos 1870-72 and 1888. The ten pesos from Oaxaca are much more available. Other mints include Guanajuato, Hermosillo, Culiacan, Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Mexico City and Alamos.

Recorded mintage: 1,591.

Specification: 33.84 g, .875 fine gold, .952 troy oz AGW.
