Shown is an 1844ZsOM two reales, one of a type struck struck at the Zacatecas mint for Mexico 1825-70. Assayers OM (Manuel Ochoa and Manual Miner) are recorded this mint for the years 1831-55. Other mints include Guanajuato, Mexico City, Alamos, Hermosillo, Guadalajara, Culiacan, Chihuahua, Durango, Potosi, Estado de Mexico, Real de Catorce and Guadalupe y Calvo. Only Oaxaca did not strike this type. This type, legal tender in the pre Civil War United States for a quarter, is common except in uncirculated. This date is common.
