Stephen Album sale 32, lot 1346
Italy SA32-1346r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1346 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $381.88. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY: Victor Emmanuel III, 1900-1946, AR 10 lire, 1930, NGC graded MS62." This type was struck 1926-34 in large numbers but is today very scarce, probably the result of melting. This is among the more available dates but is not common. This variety has edge lettering spelled "*FERT*" whereas the other (KM 68.2, not struck in 1930) has "**FERT**".

Recorded mintage: 3,668,000.

Specification: 10 g, .835 fine silver.

Catalog reference: KM-68.1.
