Sincona sale 11, lot 3471
This specimen was lot 3471 in Sincona sale 11 (Zurich, May 2013), where it sold for 520 CHF (about US$644 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"UNGARN Matthias II. 1612-1619. Taler 1617, Kremnitz. Gutes sehr schön. (Hungary, Matthias II, 1612-19, thaler of 1617, Kremnitz mint. Good very fine.)"
Hungary in 1620 was partitioned between the Austrians and the Turks and was not part of the Empire. This type was struck 1617-20.
