This specimen was lot 1101 in Sedwick sale 25 (Winter Park, FL, May 2018), where it sold for $714. The catalog description[1] noted, "Honduras, 50 centavos, 1879, Lovett type, NGC VF 35. Deep and beautiful rainbow toning, somewhat crude strike with weak centers and minor rim-flaws (actually more like XF in our opinion), rare and popular one-year type designed by US engraver George Lovett (with very US coin-like features!). NGC #4715682-014." This was the only use of this design and its artistic deficiencies suggest it deserved it early termination. The same engraver may also have done the accompanying one centavo ([[Honduras 1879 centavo|KM 40]]).
